Annual Awards

The Horners promote excellence in the plastics industry through four annual awards.

The Horners Award for Plastics Design and Innovation recognises excellence within the industry. The Polymer based Product is judged on its design innovation, commercial potential, environmental advantage and UK content.  The scope of the award also includes polymer related machines and processes.
The award is promoted jointly with the British Plastics Federation. A presentation to the winners is made at the Horners annual banquet at The Mansion House.

The Horners Bottlemakers Award is given for a polymer based package with closure, judged for design innovation, commercial potential, environmental advantage and UK content.
Again, a presentation to the winners is made at the Horners annual banquet at The Mansion House.

Design Innovation in Plastics - Students Design Award is the Horners Student Design Award and the UKs oldest established student design competition.
The award is promoted jointly with IOM3.

The Horners Fashion Award (previously called The Jewellery Award) is an award organised by Cass Business School (City University London) for a jewellery or fashion design using predominantly horn or plastics.
Following the judging, the winning entries are auctioned or sold in aid of the Master's charity.
