VISIT TO GRUNDON RECYCLING

We are pleased to have a visit to Grundon at their plant at Colnbrook (Slough, near Heathrow). This is a family owned company involved in all forms of waste management. This plant is involved with plastics recovery, and conversion to energy where recycling is not practical. Anyone travelling around the M25 near Heathrow (more likely stuck in traffic!) will have seen this tower towards the west.Our host will be Norman Grundon, the current Chairman and son of the founder, and we are indebted to Valanda Bone for making the introduction.

Plant tours: Material Recovery, followed by Energy From Waste
Buffet lunch on site, near their Education Centre

Price £35. This includes a £25 donation to their charities, and lunch. (Charities are Child Bereavement UK, Rennie Grove Hospice, Thames Hospice Windsor)
