Common Hall and Dinner Travellers Club Pall Mall The format for the evening is to be decided but there will be an opportunity to learn more about the governance of the Company.

February 2008

Court Meeting, Election Day Service and Luncheon St James Garlickhythe and Painters’ Hall The traditional way in which the Horners salute their new Master with the opportunity to view the Ceremony of the Installation of the Master and his Wardens.

March 2008

Inter-Livery Duplicate Bridge Drapers’ Hall The Company has done well in recent years and the team this year will be led by P/M ray Anstis. Please contact the Clerk for details.

United Guilds Service and Luncheon St Paul’s Cathedral and Butchers’ Hall The annual Service with the colourful procession of Livery Masters and the Lord Mayor in full State, followed by lunch.

Noggin & Natter City Hostellery We will shortly select a venue for the first of these informal get-togethers. Come and meet fellow Horners for an economical evening.

Dinner & Charity Auction Palace of Westminster This should be an exceptional event in the Churchill Dining on the Terrace of the House of Commons. An auction for the Master’s charity (Motor Neuron Disease) will be held.

Election of Sheriffs and Luncheon Guildhall and Painters’ Hall Liverymen of one year and more standing should do their best to vote. This effort will be rewarded by lunch in Painters’ Hall.

Court Members Dinner Tallow Chandlers’ Hall Reverting to the standard format, Court Members only will dine together after the Court Meeting.

Inter-Livery Tennis Competition Queen’s Club, W14 Hon Freeman Dr Mary Hunt would love to hear from any keen tennis players.

‘Bucks & Does’ Charity Inter-Livery Clay Pigeon Shoot Bisley A Horners-organised opportunity for shooters to show their skill. The event is aimed at boosting the Master’s charity.

ANNUAL BANQUET MANSION HOUSE The highlight of the Horners’ year. The Master hopes for a ‘full house’. Complete details will be sent to everyone in the summer.

London at Work The City of London A chance to visit a new bank and to see behind the scenes of the transport system of London. Supper will also feature.

11th Ralph Anderson Memorial Lecture with Supper Royal Institution, Albemarle Street, London W1 The showcase for the Horners to be held once more in the refurbished Royal Institution’s Grade I listed building.

LORD MAYORS SHOW The City of London For the first time in many years it is intended that the Horners’ should participate in the Show. Details will be available shortly.

Carol Service and Supper St James Garlickhythe and Painters’ Hall The Horners’ Choir make the Service most memorable. The supper which follows is the Horners’ Christmas Party.
