The 29th Inter- Livery Clay Pigeon Shooting Competition was held on 17th -18th May 2023 at a new location, West London Shooting School in Northolt, Middlesex. There were a number of changes from earlier years but the Horners were represented as they have been in all the earlier competitions.
This year we entered two teams, a Court team and a mixed Livery and Guest team. Most of those who took part had practised regularly on our monthly Monday sessions at Bisley so we entered the field full of confidence. This was not misplaced for the Court team finished 3rd in its class and 38th out of 126 teams overall while the other team came 4th in their class and 23rd in the full field.
The Captain’s Cup for the highest scoring Horner was won by Liveryman Ralph McNeill. The Horners’ Trophy for the first Court team was won by the Gunmakers.
