The Horners’ entry in this year’s Lord Mayor’s Show carried the theme ‘From Horn to Hybrid’. Led by The Master, our entry showed our origins, with a ‘Horned Beast’ on a vehicle also carrying two Post Horn players.
They also played the plastic trumpets that were our Horners’ Award winners this year. In front of this vehicle were driven two composite bodied Lotus sports cars, a 400bhp Evora 400 and a 345bhp Exige 350, showing the ‘state of the art’ of the industry that The Horners now embraces.
The Horners would like to thank the following companies for their kind support:
The Rockery Centre at Sandy for the kind loan of the ‘Horned Beast’.
Vauxhall Motors for the kind loan of a Movano flat bed vehicle.
Paul Pibworth for his invaluable assistance in our float construction.
We would also like to thank LogoSew for their help in the supply of jackets, Signs Express of Bedford for their assistance with vehicle graphics, Andrew Tanser for his assistance with our float and Oakthrift for their help with the supply of umbrellas.
