Master, Wardens, Clerk & Officers

It is customary for the Master and Wardens to be nominated for office at a Court Meeting held in the latter part of the Horners’ year.

They are Elected and Installed at a Court Meeting, which takes place on Candlemas Day (2nd February) or within seven days thereafter. The Installation is open to be viewed by members of the Company and their guests.

Following the Election Day Court, the Beadle leads a procession of the new Master and his Wardens together with the Deputy Master, the Clerk and the Assistant Clerk to the Church of St. James’ Garlickhythe. After the service a Reception and Luncheon are held to which Liverymen, Freemen and Associates are invited with their guests.
